As a serial “Grandmapreneur®”, Inukai speaks to retirees or soon-to-be retirees on the benefits of pursuing entrepreneurship in retirement.
Retired from teaching Technical Writing at the University of Maryland and Johns Hopkins University for four decades, Connie Inukai became an award-winning inventor at the age of 68. For people who like to eat out in restaurants, but have difficulty reading the small print on a menu or bill, she invented a handheld magnifier and light, with a calculating device to figure out a tip and split the bill in seconds. Thus, the name Tip ‘n Split®!

How I Got My Product on QVC, The Today Show, The View, and More...In Retirement: It's All About the Buzz
What if I told you that you can get massive publicity for your product—with no experience! Connie Inukai is a retired adjunct professor from the University of Maryland with zero prior knowledge about the world of entrepreneurship. She shares her journey and 8 Buzz Tips to help fellow entrepreneurs.
This book by Connie is incredible. As a fellow retiree, I understood the anxiety that accompanied retirement. However, this book provides more information on how to embrace entrepreneurship as a retiree in order to become financially independent and free. Worth reading in full.
